vivaldi - resource heavy chrome / opera / vivaldi / edge - closed source firefox - ugly, slow firefox quantum - slower waterfox - insecure
as for vivaldi, they've done lot of work in that area, i out of curiosity made some tests and it uses about 100 mb more than firefox (before 57) and opera, it's not that much to me as of quantum, it seemed fast to me, still ugly but fast nonetheless

oh and a slow HDD
Then maybe is the HDD. Fedora laptop is 4GB RAM, Dual Core, and with over 10 years of use. The HDD is new though. Debian netbook is 1GB RAM, Atom N450 (single core) and age undefined. With both I use Firefox along other apps, like Telegram or WPS office and works fine.

Even if there would be a technically better browser than chromium but it had closed source components - i wouldnt choose it.

Yes, CSD
It's nice. But nothing that I pay attention to. Maybe in my netbook. It would be useful if they adapted the interface to small screen. Everything looks huge here. But the window decoration doesn't bother me, it's too peripheral to my focus.

in fact i left default ones but in an update they stated you can make the browser look the way you want it and they were explaining that thing

by the way, a mesi-related thing

i'm a vivaldi translator, and they are sending us translators a christmas gift as a recoinassance, curious to know what is it :P

no i can't but why split then?and anyway if they are no different then i see no point in using a browser that does not differs at all from the others :) i could then stick to edge in windows or firefox in fedora
