nah, that was internet explorer, and anyway even if it's flawed, chrome and chromium (to me) does offer nothing more than edge, so if i were a medium windows user i would have seen no reason to do the switch :P

If a browser doesnt support xyz you can detect it and load a library that does the same (much slower) in javascript.

So you can use web standards and still support horseshit like edge.

This reminds me something that happened some weeks ago, in a Microsoft conference. The guy had to show how Azure works, and ended installing Chrome because Edge crashed once and again. He did this during his presentation BTW. You can find the video on Youtube, I think.

And just to understand how shit edge is: Microsoft made a node.js runtime napa.js (https://github.com/Microsoft/napajs) using blink/v8 as engine base from chromium. Chakra (their own js engine used in edge) is available under the same github account.

It only makes sense if you use edge on desktop anyway. If you use chrome desktop then chrome on iphone provides the same sync (even more, edge is just a crude beta so far and i was talking about chrome sync)

It's not likely it is usually something that drives people to switch, not just that. For me it just makes things a bit quicker when I'm hopping around. Sure, I can scroll back, but there's no need to in this case, and that's that. ?‍♀️
