gdm failed because there is no hardware acceleration.

So the "universal installer" from their site had f@cked up.

No. nouveau should set up automatically, when you remove Nvidia driver. If you did'nt deleted xorg-x11-drv-nouveau and mesa, of course.

Don't brake your fedora install into a frankenfedora by adding unnoficial repos and installing from untrusted sources.
