With that connection, it will be slow no matter what you use.

It's a file service and it's so stupid that simple downloader could not able to download.

The simplest way to download anything is clicking on the link and saving the file somewhere.

It means whole process take about 5 hours if I don't get interruption in download

There are many addons for Firefox to sort that. Why do you want something so specific as wget? BTW, I had that and even worse connections. And I didn't go around complaining. I downloaded the damned thing while doing something else.

That's not a solution. The problem is with the theme, and probably there is no GTK interface for Libreoffice installed. Install that and use a theme that is compatible to Libreoffice. That will solve it.

Hi. KDE user here. It all depends on your preferences and workflow. Many people find Gnome superior and that's okay. I personally find KDE better as it gives more freedom of choice and it's way more configurable. Plus it doesn't hide stuff. Specifically about Plasma... the best are the plasmoids. You can as many as you want and there are plasmoids for anything. They're basically applets living inside Plasma.

Its less tested and especially with nvidia can lead to incredible bugs that could render your pc unusuable for weeks.

That's not true. My laptop has Nvidia and works smoothly with both Gnome and KDE. The only difference is that Gnome crashes a lot while KDE doesn't. But truth to be told, Gnome has nicer animations. In Wayland at least.

You can get that with KDE. But you may also want to give Mate and XFCE a go, if Gnome2 look is what you're looking for.
