@pionen Earlier you were confused about why Fedora Atomic didn't have DNF. This article is for RHEL Atomic Host, but there's a lot of overlap and this article explains it really, really well. https://access.redhat.com/articles/2772861

@jflory I think I just found the reason:
Installing (do not use partitioning defaults!)
Important! Don't choose auto-partitioning in the below installer ISO; you currently can't use a separate /home partition, and Anaconda defaults to that. This will be fixed in Fedora 27; see this known issue as well as this anaconda PR.
There are ISOs available for Fedora 26 direct link and rawhide.

Hello, guys!
I've just installed Nvidia driver from Negativo17, shutdown, turned it on and:
Can someone help me?

Tobias?
17.09.2017
00:54:41
did you update the kernel and install the nvidia driver at the same time?

Augusto
17.09.2017
00:54:42
I installed it from Discover, after installing the repo

Tobias?
17.09.2017
00:55:47

Augusto
17.09.2017
00:55:49
But it didn't request a reboot

Tobias?
17.09.2017
00:55:55
Yes KDE and nvidia as of now dont work together.
It was 2 weeks ago that it stoped working i think?

Augusto
17.09.2017
00:56:24
Sometime it asks for a reboot :c

Tobias?
17.09.2017
00:57:03
Erm, when you boot up does it show you the kernel selection?
Press "e"

Augusto
17.09.2017
00:57:35

Tobias?
17.09.2017
00:57:38
and append to the kernel commandline (after rhqb and something but before the "):
nomodeset

Augusto
17.09.2017
00:58:48
yes
Yes
3 options and a fourth that's the rescue

Tobias?
17.09.2017
00:59:01
it autoselects the most recent kernel

Google

Tobias?
17.09.2017
00:59:02
press e

Augusto
17.09.2017
00:59:42
Wait
I prees 'e' when?

Tobias?
17.09.2017
00:59:58

Augusto
17.09.2017
01:00:01
On the first option?

Tobias?
17.09.2017
01:00:05
Yes

Augusto
17.09.2017
01:00:13

Augusto
17.09.2017
01:03:05

Tobias?
17.09.2017
01:03:45
Yes, F10 to boot that

Tobias?
17.09.2017
01:04:30
If that yields no result reboot and edit it to blacklist "nvidia" instead of nouveau - i think.
And add nomodeset again XD

Augusto
17.09.2017
01:05:01

Tobias?
17.09.2017

Tobias?

Well yeah, starting the hdmi output on nvidia requires nvidia to be active - try the blacklisting it outright.
