I am thinking he/she is refering to installer is working, but after install and reboot into the newly installed system he/she got this.

and then # create a mountpoint for zfs /: mkdir /tmp/root # mount /: mount -t zfs zroot/ROOT/default /tmp/root # the directories will now be available in /tmp/root

I’d say if it’s your first install and there’s nothing of value, just trash it all and reinstall. Makes a good training to install anyway :) Then take notes of the “solutions” you will use when trying to fix some trouble you have, so that you can explain what you did exactly when things got bad

Support on laptops has always been a hit and miss on Linux/bsd/free oses

Try installing Linux, and run a virtual machine there with FreeBSD to experiment on the settings until you have it working, or you guess what's missing. It's the best I can think of

That way you'll learn a lot, and you'll still have a working machine for the day

Hi Jeff. I recall you and I discussing this previously. I tried 14 but it was too unstable, 13.1 had iwlwifl support. I just never could get the graphics to work right with wayland + sway.

Hey, Chad, re: Intel graphics on the framework - X11 was pretty flaky for me right up to 'drm-510-kmod-5.10.113', and it's been great since. YMMV running that with 13.1, but I would expect it to be similarly stable.

Current is unstable. I faced lots of issues when experimenting with it. Most probably the core src has been updated and your pkg mismatches the OS version. I ended up compiling src each week or so, but I'm aware there are ways to avoid that

My suggestion is not to use Current unless you need to test new devices or functionalities
