I don't belive what fsf or gnu say about freebsd
🇵🇸🍉
But i don't think they include binary blobs
🇵🇸🍉
Why would they?
accelerat0r 🇮🇱 🇮🇱 🇮🇱
the gnu approach is a religion
r2g2
the system comes without binary blobs
r2g2
eg wifi firmware, nvidia gpu drivers, intel/amd microcode binaries
Anonymous
It deeply depends on what you mean by binary blobs
Anonymous
r2g2
though some drivers of the OS are binary blobs

I belive that openbsd don't include any binary blobs but idk about freebsd
r2g2
no sorry, some drivers contain binaries

Installed by default or in repo?

By default

Yep. As said before, @ultrasigma0 let's discuss all this blob thing with various systems over the @freebsd_offtopics
ɴꙩᴍᴀᴅ
Alright, let's keep that offtopic, and please treat each other with respect (:

Go to TTY. and check logs.
I added a line kern.evdev.rcpt_mask=6
To /etc/sysctl.conf
According to an installer message . Can it be the reason

Which log I should check
dmesg(8)
and check the contents of /var/log/ directory.
And you can disable Slim, and run it manually to see the logs.

Hello, I need to restart *TTY* on ttyv0, on linux I used to restart it by restarting the getty@tty1 service, any alternative on freebsd ? Thanks. If this question is not appropriate, feel free to delete it.
