I get the "ZFS: i/o error - all block copies unavailable" error when installing with GPT + UFS.
This is not a great laptop, i really need UFS to squeeze out performance

I was trying to install with UFS and it gave me a ZFS error, i managed to get it fixed.
Needed to remove the ZFS label😊

Yeah, you just have to zero out the first few megabytes of disk in order to remove any previous labels it might have had

No, its a filesystem + volume manager, it can be used on whatever number of disks is desired

For normal usage yes UFS is a very good choice.
If you are interested/need advanced features though, ZFS rocks

no comments here. I am still pretty new in the BSD world. Been using Linux for years but just started trying out FreeBSD for roughly 2 months. Just seems really interesting is all as I always hear they say something like "Linux sucks and BSD rocks", but this benchmark just said otherwise.

The two first comments is good and probably from FreeBSD user. Sadly, Classical post a comment... :-). About benchmark the important things is not to be the first (we can produce benchmarks where any OS is first) but where we need to improve performance in priority.
As a user, FreeBSD works in my laptop better than Xubuntu and Fredora.

For me my 10 years old Nvidia card on my laptop surprisingly worked well on FreeBSD while not for Linux with proprietary driver when I tried Debian or Arch. But then FreeBSD didn't win when it comes to working with foregin removable disks in NTFS and exFat format. both in speed and stability.
