I always get no such file or directory when trying to Mount a folder on the NFS server
What am I doing wrong? Can someone give me a working exports file example for nfsv4?

so the problem seems to be my export line
bad exports list line '/nas/Media 192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,subtree_check,fsid=0)': no valid entries
but i dont see whats wrong there
./pascal.sh
oh i figured it out
./pascal.sh
i now have this in my /etc/exports and it works
V4: /nas
/nas/Media -alldirs -maproot=root -network=192.168.2.0/24

the norm in bsd....xorg.conf is in /usr/local/etc.... it's not in /etc.... that's linux
./pascal.sh

With only 16gb msata SSD and 300gb Hdd, what do you think of this partitions
Anonymous
Anonymous
1. My swap partitions are always p3-partitions
Anonymous
2. The Boot-partition on the SSD is safe for BSD. If you reconsider to install/use Linux in the future, a 512MB (not kB) Boot-partition would be an improvement. But that's only important for distro-hoppers ... 😉
dapit
I thought the "inner" side of the disk would be better for swap?
dapit

If I remember correctly the physical speeds on a turning disk is higher at the outer perimeter. I do not have a good measure for the ratio between shorter head movements closer to the disk axis vs. higher read/write performance on the outside sectors. Never saw a review / benchmark / article comparing these 2 limiting factors.
dapit
This is the first time I'll try to use the GPT and zfs. Used to be MBR.
Anonymous
Doesn't matter. Debian based distros need at least 512MB boot partitions, if you do not want to be constantly annoyed by full partitions while keeping 2+ kernels
dapit
dapit
Sorry not /boot I mean the boot partition
Anonymous
Maybe it is even fastest by putting it into the middle. That is expert know-how ... I guess...
Anonymous
yes
./pascal.sh

with that size of SSD and its speed advantage over his 300GB HDD it should be ok

/var/lib and /var/log can go nuts
./pascal.sh

I'll report the result tomorrow. It's past midnight here

10-12GB for some more apps on KDE should do. Currently I hold 15GB on my GhostBSD-workstation with several browers, CAD, Marble, office and multimedia apps

It looks like you have extra unneeded lines in your fstab.
