The most significant change after the brand transfer were the keyboards for the laptops. One of the best keyboards ever made for laptops were the IBM Thinkpad's ones.
The moment Lenovo bought the brand, they changed the keyboards and it turned out a bit messy

I ran to issues and a hunt to find HOW to get GPU temp on Freebsd. I found some thread of people asking about it with very little options or pointing to old dead ports.
Solution I found for NVIDIA cards was to use nvidia drivers tool they provide.

I'm afraid that at least for nvidia, there is no module available. For radeon/amdgpu could be in a future. I'm a bit out of 14.0-Current development rn but they usually push things forward for open source hardware a lot. Good move from AMD was moving their gpus to work with Mesa
