NomadBSD specific things should be kept in their channels.
Other subjects common to both systems is better here.
But who am I to say?

I've experienced slow HD as a broken HD before. But last time it was a clients computer. I just reinstalled Windows with all userdata intact and erased tons of bloatware. Fresh and fine after that.

It can be yes and no. I'm monitoring drive latency and alerting on it. But doing regular smart test helps also, a lot.

We are moving between datacenters, last batch was ~40 hosts, 6 โ 28 drives per host. Quick conveyance scan helped identify one damaged drive instantly.

hi everyone
S
i have an unusual problem.i use FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE on my desktop intel Celeron D.the loader menu page which shows some options about single user and multi user boot and the freebsd logo doesn't come up and every time i boot the freebsd from grub it directly start to boot the system without the loader page .when i checked the /boot/defaults/loader.conf for the first time i knew that there is a # sign in front of the beastie_disable="NO" and the loader_logo="fbsdbw" .after some times cleaning the # from them an reboot the system , system accept to run those commands in loader.conf file (the system used to reject my setup and took the # sign in front of them to not to run them) as i said finally the system accepted my settings (i know this because i've checked it) but unfortunately it still doesn't show the loader section in boot.Do you have any idea about the problem?
S

I was looking on internet for tutorials, to configure in ipv6 the dns quad9.
But, without success.
Could you please. Please tell me how to do this on the terminal and definitely.
