It's got some similar features, but HAMMER doesn't have native compression or device spanning, but HAMMER2 is planned to have both of those, as well as working as a clustering filesystem.
It's a really fascinating filesystem to work with

NetBSD/i386 Supported Hardware
https://www.netbsd.org/ports/i386/hardware.html
The minimal configuration for a NetBSD/i386 system requires 4M of RAM and about 40M of disk space. For a full installation (including source and X11), at least 8M of RAM and 200M of disk space are recommended.
Have u used zram or something like that on *bsd?
Have u seen some differences?

I haven't, I've never really seen a need for it on my installs. Of course more RAM capacity is always better, but until I start running lots of gooey stuff or start building some larger ports, even 512MB hasn't really been an issue for me

I have just 512 and i'm fine

Have you tried using qupzilla? Seems to require fewer resources than firefox

aaron: .:VMS:. ? (Telegram): You will want around 2-4GB of ram to use Firefox. It may work with 1GB though, as long as you don't use more than one tab, or go to google.
aaron: .:VMS:. ? (Telegram): And yea, shell is fine for starting. Really, just start learning something, until you can coherently explain the benefits and drawbacks of it. Then you'll know what you want to learn next.

aaron: No. You don't use hex often, except for bitshifting. And that's binary math anyway.
aaron: And you rarely manually count higher than F anyway.
