Windows 2000 is the only good version of Windows.
IMHO there have been many good windows. But the latest ones aren't so neatly good

"C-rusted: The Advantages of Rust, in C, without the Disadvantages C-rusted is an innovative technology whereby C programs can be (partly) annotated so as to express: ownership, exclusivity and shareability of language, system and user-defined resources; dynamic properties of objects and the way they evolve during program execution; nominal typing and subtyping. The (partially) annotated C programs can be translated with unmodified versions of any compilation toolchain capable of processing ISO C code. The annotated C program parts can be validated by static analysis: if the static analyzer flags no error, then the annotations are provably coherent among themselves and with respect to annotated C code, in which case said annotated parts are provably exempt from a large class of logic, security, and run-time errors. It has more relation than VMS does :p
No, not even remotely. It’s a clone of IBM’s OS/2 code, NOT Microsoft’s OS/2 NT code.

Yeah. I believe 4OS2 is used as the kernel for newer OS/2 instead of IBM's old kernel (by newer OS/2 I mean eComStation and ArcaOS)

before I can covert my drives from raid-on to ahci, can I save a snapshot of my own windows installation with every single option intact?

today I did the impossible, I successfully switched SATA operations by using two computers (one with bios and one with uefi).
matt
I also wrote a long guide too during the whole process.

switching from raid mode to ahci mode (two computers method). this method involves the use of two computers: one with bios and one with uefi. I will be using my own workstation computer together with my own mini pc to achieve this feat: put your raid-on windows 8.1 installation on a bios computer. make sure that the bios computer is set to ahci mode for booting hard drives. the operating system will now boot into safe mode. go to advance. then go to boot options. press f10 then select the first option that appears on the screen for accessing safe mode. warning: if you're too slow, the pc will automatically shut down and send you back to normal mode. at that point you will have to access safe mode manually by opening a dialog box and then typing in msconfig to enable safe mode booting manually from there (in this case you have to reboot without doing anything else). go to safe mode, do not disable it yet. do a reboot then shut it down. go on your other computer (a dell precision T3610 in this case) and load it with an empty hard drive for accessing the firmware options (if not, then an error will show up telling you that there's no hard drive). at this point it is better to just simply put an empty hard drive just for avoiding risks. press f2 to access the firmware settings. go to boot sequences and press shift to access those options. deselect uefi boot but keep your original windows boot entry selected to delete it. delete your original window uefi boot option. go to system configuration and then go to SATA operation. switch your hard drive operation to ahci and press apply. check out that your uefi option isn't set to legacy mode first on your dell precision T3610. if it is, set it up to uefi mode first. press F10 and boot into your windows hard drive manually with uefi after selecting it (there should be a nameless entry for an hard drive listed inside the uefi manual booting section, this is your windows drive). if it's the only one, select it. wait a little and then you will be presented with the standard windows 8.1 booting interface. write your own user password to access the computer. if you restart your own operating system then you will have to select it again manually from the F10 menú. open a dialog box and then type in “msconfig”. go to tools. activate windows troubleshooting. click “configure a device” and then wait for the program to finish scanning. after the scan ends. the system will ask you to reinstall a device driver, click apply this fix. in my case I also got a problem related to my own microsoft hyper-v driver so I decided to apply another fix. click yes to any other warning that may appear. wait for all processes to finish. after all driver conflicts have been resolved, close all windows except for system configuration and go to boot. disable safe boot, click apply and then save. a system configuration warning  may appear, restart your compter. if everything goes well, now you will be sent back to normal mode without any sort of crashes or blue screens of death.
matt
all of this without even losing a single file (just a few BSoDs but wharever).
Martijn
If you make sure the drivers for the boot disk are installed and loaded by ntldr I’m pretty sure Windows doesn’t care if you switch.

can you build your own DIY open source scanner with costum parts?

yes
matt
can I build a document scanner?

they often don't make 'em of the right size, I want to build one myself to get away from building limitations.

maybe we should have some "official" game servers on reactos
MethanoVicky
which will surely attract some people
MethanoVicky
but first, we must make the system stable, both base sys and network
matt
I wonder if it can also run quake 3/unreal tournament 2004 servers
matt
I do also have some other games to try
