This guy contacted with ReactOS long time ago, I remember him. And claimed in a blog exactly the same than now, more accessibility. As we say here in Spain, "we have stumbled against the Church, dear Sancho". This is an engineer and also blind, and consultor (and maybe ONCE asesor) of accessibility. It's a nice guy, but here we have a rude way to comunicate with the people. In Spain really the accessibility is something so assumed, there are powerful non profit associations that really have power (economical, principally).

Take the Windows tan and make it a bit more like a failed clone experiment. ^^

What's gtk?

it's a GUI toolkit commonly used on Unix systems, and infrequently you do see Gtk programs on Mac and Windows too

It treats basically every host OS as a blank canvas to draw pixels on and as a result, it makes little effort to blend into native Mac and Windows ecosystems when software written against it is used on those systems

Except you use Gimp or Ardour, or whatever.

If you have a pure GTK environment like GNOME, MATE, or Xfce, it's great and everything's consistent. If you don't have a primarily GTK environment, it can seem a little more out of place

as for toolkit design, GTK rallies everything behind its own object-oriented model with clear parent/child relationships and some people don't like to program in that way. Qt is the primary competitor for cross-platform toolkits and it does a much better job at blending into native Mac and Windows environments. It's also a bit more like Win32 where things are lower-level and not as much object oriented programming

It doesn't really have "*nix depedencies" -- there's actually quite a lot of work to integrate low-level components with the registry and clipboard on Windows for instsance

There's considerably less work on getting a theme made that would actually integrate GTK's look and feel with the rest of Windows. It's definitely doable.
