if winamp can play music, then there's hope sam will speak though getting that to even work requires a whole lot of setting up to do

i pulled this off by copying the Speech folder from Windows XP, which has the required files that were missing from installing the Speech SDK 5.1, then i combed through the registry in Windows XP and grab anything that was related to SAPI and ended up with 113 reg files (was tedious to export and name), imported them and then the voice started speaking i couldnt however get SAPI.cpl to run for whatever reason

oh no, if i export the text through the TTSAPP to save as a wav file, then it's played back with no issue

when i let the voice read the text in real time, then it always cuts off at the end, but when i save that as a WAV file (from the program shown) then the file has no issues cutting off

as can be demonstrated here (i am not sure what's going on at the end when the voice finishes speaking, as it somehow prevents any other audio from playing)

if anyone would like to try it for themselves, here are 2 ISO images tts.iso contains the Speech folder that must go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\, the speech.reg are entries for the voices that aren't manually created when installing the SpeechSDK5.1 (cont)

the SAPIREG.iso file contains a butt load of registry entries related to the SAPI engine straight from a Windows XP VM, this allows the engine to be used

when debugging, ReactOS will always throw this fixme:(/dll/win32/wtsapi32/wtsapi32.c:629) Stub 001101CA 0x00000000 fixme:(/dll/win32/wtsapi32/wtsapi32.c:731) Stub 001101CA and depending on how things are, it'll either freeze the system when it's done speaking or when you make it speak again, which also ties up the audio

i hope this'll help improve TTS in ReactOS ever so slightly
