I pretty much just found out about ReactOS (relieved after realising it is not written in JavaScript), and I'm wondering what is the state of the project, compatibility-wise. Is there a nice, up-to-date overview of that anywhere?

Yes, SMS will die eventually, as most people are using rich messaging stuff nowadays, with my phone I can't, but as soon as SMS will become used by less than 5% of people, it'll be discontinued

It will, and I think it might die sooner than you think. With features phones decreasing in marketshare, with even cheap smartphones with KaiOS supporting RCS, it might be the new standard
