The real question is: C/c++ is c or c++ or c and c++?
U've asked the right question. The term C/C++ is a misnomer but a popular one.
C++ became something when classes, RAII, exception and templates got added.
I'd rather use: C & C++, C or C++ OR even C, C++.
Saying C/C++ is known to confuse a lot of people thinking quite compatible well good luck compiling C code outside hello world as C++
