How about from nowhere you meet a class called Erasure in a random file which is located in the depth of project's folders hirachy

From now on I'll recommend to comment the code
BinaryByter
i'd refactor it instead
BinaryByter
comments are bad
MᏫᎻᎯᎷᎷᎬᎠ
comments are bad
Why they are exist?
BinaryByter
because at times they can be useful

Why is the STD is documented
BinaryByter
std:: is documented

but not every implementation is commented

Yeah most of them are commented
MᏫᎻᎯᎷᎷᎬᎠ
Which is not your case
BinaryByter
comments in code are a sign of bad code, IMHO

I read this as "I'm too stupid to find god variable names"

I want know about c language. Full course
Francisco
comments in code are a sign of bad code, IMHO
They're useful to describe specific parts, but shouldn't be used as documentation porpuse or describe trivial stuff. Anyway, code should be self-explanatory
MᏫᎻᎯᎷᎷᎬᎠ
If you need them to, you REALLY should refactor your code
There are different levels of coders Maybe my code is perfect but unreadable for newbies or new workmates

Anyone help me
Tutorials or book??
Nehemiah Aklil
What?!
sorry
BinaryByter
but G++ has a pragma for todos and fixmes
BinaryByter
its more expressive of intent, IMHO
BinaryByter
#pragma message "TODO: kill me"
MᏫᎻᎯᎷᎷᎬᎠ
sorry
Okay
Francisco
#pragma message "TODO: kill me"
Well, I don't what that to appear everytime I compile the file
Francisco
I prefer a grep search

Tutorials or book??
OK, thank you all.
BinaryByter
Well, I don't what that to appear everytime I compile the file
IMHO, having this appear on every compilation forces you to fix it ;)
BinaryByter
todos and fixmes should be temporary at best
Nehemiah Aklil
OK, thank you all.
sorry for some rough replies😂
Francisco
IMHO, having this appear on every compilation forces you to fix it ;)
Not always. I have an algorithm implemented that works well, but there's a faster one, so I have a TODO inside it until I learn the required theory to implement it
BinaryByter
This sounds like something a cs student would do in his first month at a company
BinaryByter
lol i'm being mean
BinaryByter
but really: you should learn it ASAP
14•08
OK, thank you all.
Problems solved 😂😂😂
Francisco
but really: you should learn it ASAP
I'd like to, but it's not a simple thing to learn
BinaryByter
whats the hard part of it?
BinaryByter
how is the algo called?
Francisco
Fast Fourier Transformation
