Play around with it until you find settings you like.

There is no "like windows" because that is different for every pc.

My mouse usually sits at 2400-3200 dpi with gnomes "adaptive" speed smoothing. No idea how i'd do it in kde.

I have no idea. It depends on your hardware. However, you can go to Settings => Pointing Devices => Mouse and try different configurations. You some sort of playground at right to test settings. If nothing works, just click on Reset and everything will come back to the default configuration. Hope this helps.

I always recommend trying the official DE of Fedora - it will yield the fewest bugs and problems. ^^ And gnome has become really, really good. The initial hate it had is now truly undeserved.
