well you have a shell reboot, prepare something to upload and store the following: cpuinfo > /wherever/you/can/store/cpuinfo(.txt) same with dmidecode free lsblk lscpu lspci lsusb meminfo dmesg journalctl and ideally lshw but i dont know if that can be called that way too

that should give plenty of information to find a possible error. easiest could be to just post a screenshot of dmesg and journalctl -xe right after the boot

Don't really know, I have always used Disks app in Linux distributions to burn .iso files and they have always worked successfully

dd works absolutely fine. if the iso is fine then there is ZERO need for a gui here
