You got me :P . I dont think this would work

this would be the simplest solution : from subprocess import call call(["amixer", "-D", "pulse", "sset", "Master", "0%"])
It's not portable between operating systems and requires amixer to be present, but I have to admit that it is simple :)

Have you tried it on touch? Which device? I'm very very curious.
Acer Switch 11V (Dont buy, recommend against, its shit and doesnt boot right half the time.) But yeah, its a really nice touch

I have no time for that. I'm still struggling with my main problem in hands, that is "How to change sound volume in real time with Python?".
Maybe they dont want you to change the system volume? Why not raise the "loudness" of the sound in question?

This sounds so familiar to me... ?

But I'm searching some like quorum rules, meeting frame, etc
That depends on the area. You may want to look into the different Ambassadors wikis (APAC, EMEA, etc). I'm afraid I'm rather useless on this. I have been missing meetings since the time change. ?

Ok... then how to change the DE permanently
If you have it installed it, choose the desktop from the Display Manager / Login window (like GDM, SDDM, LightDM, etc.).

Akilan

Guys, I have been researching about display stacks in various Linux back ends (ie., android, meego, sfos) etc., sfos uses Wayland stack with Qt as the drawing component. The gl libraries are included in libhybris(glibc equivalent) unlike in mesa. I was actually trying to write a Wayland only app(with no X deps). Apparently, it is easy to initiate display but to actually create a surface buffer, we need mesa-gl. This is only implemented for X (as GLX) so if I compile I pull down all the X deps. Another option is to use opengles2. But it doesn't some of the gl calls like glClear etc., how can I make a pure Wayland GUI application with very less X deps (libxkbcommon is OK)

If it's not installed... well, look for it on DNF or Dnfdragora and install it. It's usually something in the line of "dnf groupinstall..." But I'm not completely sure, I always forget the exact command.

i think u can set a particular DE as the default session in lightdm, if thats wat ur using

Kohane

Why not? The Display Manager will remember your last session. So unless you change desktop again, you'll keep logging in the same environment.
