The Mic shouldn't be a problem here (there are a lot of stores focused on media hardware), but USB sound cards are being hard to find

Again I dont know budget or anything but a basic XLR mic would run about 50USD and a ADC/DAC at the lowest would be at about 100USD. You would of course need to check alsa/pulse compatibility

I guess USB is emphasized as DVD burners are less and less common nowadays, but yes, I think DVD would work just fine. If you need CD install, then netinstall would fit, but it requires a stable internet connection to install

You don't need DVD to upgrade already installed Fedora. Just use dnf.

Using mobile data connection probably not a good option to use dnf
