Lots of controllers with hardware encryption use simple XOR instead of AES. Anyone can decrypt such encryption even without passwords.

I think your theme would be responsible - so choosing a different gtk theme would work - and weren't the kde lockscreens html5 sites?

I used Crunchbang for about half a year, iirc.
I remember having troubles installing it from USB.

I used it all through its 11 release on an older machine before picking up fedora XFCE
It did have a rather particular preference when it came to USB installers which could cause issues I remember

There are still continuations of the project, there are three I believe. One called bunsen labs, the other does the entire #! experience on a preconfigured arch, and theother is #! conintued on jessie

Im biased so ill throw some parenthesis in here but...
i3 Once you get going with it and familarize yourself with it theres nothing more productive ( same can be said with any DE/WM some one decided to pick up usually )

Yup. This is the way my 2 colleagues started to use it after Unity.
Even after Awesome WM, which is really awesome, but has some issues and still not as usable as i3wm out of box.
