Y'know, I wonder, if you were going somewhere where you might not have a constant source for electricity for some days, I wonder how hard it would be to rewire that, to power a laptop or small computer from a car battery and for how long

Not that this is at all realistic, but…

Guys, a quick question:

Could you recommend a good email client and RSS feed reader for Fedora? They have to be functional offline also, and primarily GTK+ based, CSD bonus... Something that is too online for my 14 KB internet; I'd like one that loads my email to my ~/*, for offline perusing...

Primarily RSS clients...

Sid

Evolution for Mail, obviously
It has too many tools for my liking, I prefer just a mail client, no frills.

Tobias?

For news i have taken a liking to nextcloud news, because it syncs and even if my internet sucks i dont need to care

All modern email clients (have to) include contacts, calendar, groupware, appointments, tasks...

Oh evolution by default for mail then...

Desktop feed readers? Ideally, GTK with CSD?

And what's lifereader?

the former
Does it support opml import/export?

Never tried, i used it before i switched to NCNews

Sid

Well, with evolution you'd then have it all under one central thing

When you do a fresh install you can select at the installing screen to use "the newest sources" instead. This is what has accumulated for updates til now and will be obsolote in ~two weeks when f26 comes out

It also has a mobile app (ocreader) which will enable you to have your server take care of updating your feeds and you getting it all from your server at once - then marking things you read or fave on your phone as the same on your cloud

Well, thats why you tell them "10 gb online storage for each of us anywhere, for Price/x poeple"

I do the same with my coworkers, we share accounts and therefore storage on each other's servers even, via federated user sharing

Same here usually, but i can just drive over to my coworker or workplace and get it there.

Also me&friends mostly use the same server provider, which doesnt bill inter-RZ traffic so we can push between most of the servers at gigabit and not care

And since we use vpns to the same servers we can put them all up as shares in the vpn net too XD

Tobias?
