have you tried syncing before?
because, if i'm not mistaken, gentoo syncs with default location in no mirror is explicitely provided...

Laure

I fixed
it
you need to run update-ca-certificates and init6

You can also use Geany with a plugin for Latex. Gummi is simple but nice tool too. Kile might work too, specially if you're using KDE. Latexila is another programme that is nice and is very integrated to Gnome desktop. If you add the proper extension, you can use LibreOffice for both text and formula in Latex. And last but not least, you can try Textmaker and Textstudio or Textwork if you prefer something simple.
Hope this is useful to you @brajiraofthemessiah I wrote assuming you want text. For formulas there are some other applications as well.

According to compatibility chart it only works up to 4.3… now it’s like 5.x
5.4 I think

Kohane

I agree with this.
It's in Fedora repositories so you only need to look up, and it's there. There's also one or two extensions for formula.

5.4 I think
It works, I already tried it before. And between LibreOffice 4 and 5 there were no massive rewriting code like between Gnome 2 and 3.
