Yes, that's why I suggested Postinstaller. But it's been ages without using this kind of tools, so maybe it doesn't work on others systems.

1) A reboot fixes this, akmod is a kernel mod and requires a reboot to be applied 2) rather than using virtualbox, take a look at virt-manager
