Ubuntu is dead
They've gone all commercial

Alessio

I remember all the complaints when red hat discontinued red hat Linux in favour of red hat Enterprise Linux
And Fedora was born
Since then many Linux fans hate red hat an its ecosystem (centos, fedora, rhel) because of "it is too commercial"

Tobias?

09:47:10
I don't agree
They fired all their fun staff, stopped all fun projects and are dead-on commercial with upstream packages now. might be the first time ubuntu gives anything back to the community tough from now on
But RHEL has always been giving back to upstream, ubuntu has always done its Thing
I dont see the two merge without Problems

Oh, that's a telegram group too?
LUGs typically where groups of people gathering, like once a month or whatever, in a physical place and keeping it up through mails. But I'm talking about years ago when internet wasn't so widely spread and the messaging thing was a shitty app called MSN.
