Project Fi is Google's recent move into being a carrier. It's only on the newer Google handsets, but it uses secure WiFi hotspots in random locations when you're roaming, and if not available, it uses Sprint and T-Mobile simultaneously in the US, depending on which service is available. Not sure how it works in other countries. But it's very affordable for international rates and free SMS to any of the supported 120+ countries.

For a long time, it was in a private beta but I recently found out it's open to the public, officially now.

KDE integration in Fedora isn't the best

The only thing that annoys me in Fedora's KDE is that there's no option to "minimal install". Or you install the whole bunch or nothing. Besides that, Plasma 5 works fine, uncompleted but fine.

Em. Use netinstall, choose minimal install and check KDE as main DE.

Plasma 5 lacks many nice features that were available in KDE 4. But I rather like it overall.

I use this method for Mate. There is no almost everithing. Only basic utilities.

Other thing that annoys me in Plasma 5: Sounds. Cinnamon has visual and sound effects, Plasma 5 is mute.

Well, it depends on which fashion we're talking. I'm rather a minimal guy, I like the material and flat style. But I agree with you. Not all fashions are good!

I work in design sphere. When you develop and create such things, you see things pretty clear. There are transition periods and finished. So now, with flat, we are in transitional period. It's the time then flat design develops and improves. So, later we will get the finished concept of this way. Other example: Windows Vista was like first test, designers saw their huge opportunities. Windows 7 finished this way and show us finished idea. Sorry for bad English :(
