.net is a different thing as .net is not a product they are selling, but a tool they provide to sell other products

Apart from that, there were leaks about windows 10 being open source, but they have to kill the blue screen before that ?

Anyway, I use whatever I used to. Firefox satisfies me 100% and I like everything about it. No reason for me to switch to Chrome/Chromium.

But seriously, I really doubt Windows will ever be open source. And what do you mean by "killing the blue screen"?

No error messages ever?

So if there's a hardware error there should be no blue screen?

or if a driver malfunctions, even if MS has no control over those?

Fedora has the rawhide and a lot of testers, and most drivers are tested before they get into the distribution, with Windows it's common that you install drivers downloaded from the internet or received on a CD with a hardware

Yesterday is the first day with fedora ? is it common to get those errors?
It's uncommon, but it's not like Fedora is some wonder OS that never has any problems with hardware ;)

When you're making money using computer systems you need guarantees that they are going to work for some time ;)

It's not about features, it's about the ability to call a person and demand support when some update breaks something

when you're a top 500 company you require a service immediately and you're willing to pay for it, looking through forums and mailing lists is not an option

Does anyone knows how to backup full system? This will be very useful when we change our hard drive and then we'll just restore the system image. So no need to re install all the apps.

It can clone full installs, shrink filesystems to fit a smaller disk or extend them automatically, can make a .gzip....
