@chaitanya_alavandi I also noticed you're using python2 , you can also switch to python3 too ? since py2 support will be end

Yeah... Need to do that... Althoguh why are they doing that? o.O I thought they'll support py3 for a while

py3 is already supporting but py2 support will be there too but since Fedora porting and try to port everything to py3

that would be better to move on to py3

Does anybody use Fedora with es_ES locale? In LibreOffice, to select all text I press Ctrl+A like usual, but for some reason in es_ES that means "Open file" (because the A in Ctrl+A stands for abrir). 1) Why does locale change keyboard shortcuts, that is annoying... 2) How do I change that back – or – what shortcut is select all?

天荣

I don't think it can be considered a bug.

Maybe a minor nuisance for people who use different programs as most applications retain en_US keybindings

O
05.03.2017
14:29:14
That's actually bug because

in my local language I can still use normal english or standart shortcuts

so

try to report it

天荣
05.03.2017

That doesn't classify it as a bug, to be honest.

It's expected and documented behaviour.

O

But most of the user know "ctrl+a" as "all" and etc

but still

I guess they're trying to cater to the average Microsoft Word user

Which has shortcuts localised

O
05.03.2017
14:31:41
That's a issue because without standart shortcuts every documents in english won't work that much so you have to read your own language If It's translated

If It's not translated that means you gonna have to find out which is which and try to test keys ? come on

It is a bug. AFAIK, localisation doesn't include keyboard shortcuts and mouse gestures, otherwise would be a chaos.

PDF is literally Portable. It's in the name! :P That's what you should use when sending documents. Or well, one of the better options. Definitely not .docx IMHO ^^

I have my shortcuts cheat sheet per program, so I really don't care. This will happens always if absolutely all programs aren't completely translated, and this simply won't happens never

also I think I had it somewhere around, but I’m in Wrocław. If you’re in east Germany you can come over and grab it (it’s ~2hrs drive from Berlin)

but I doubt it would be worth it :D

I like most of people use the default or tweak it, but just with the normal Settings app. If all programs use something, your settings use something, and then LibreOffice or whatever decides to change that for no reason, is annoying, confusing and a good way to ruin someone's day.

Maybe try to go to the library, use their computer and burn the dvd there?
Uhm! This can be a good idea. I'm pretty sure I saw computers in the library although I don't know if they are for everybody or for members only.

I’m using a macbook as a third computer. The idea of the „cmd” button is interesting, but now practically every keyboard shortcut is different, not even mentioning some mac abominations like how to make a screenshot (cmd+shift+4 then space and you can select a window to grab? is this a joke?)

Michał
05.03.2017
15:54:01
You can tune those shortcuts.
Somehow I think alt+print screen is more intuitive than cmd+shift+4 (why 4?), then stop pressing anything and press space (why space?)

Michał

? You need to attend to a complete course before taking a screenshot properly!

I wouldn't need to tune it if they do they're job properly instead of trying to be as different as possible for no reason. Other systems have xx shortcut? Then let's change it! Why? Because we're Mac!

I assume it’s just trying to be compatible with legacy users habits, but thanks to that we have some utterly stupid things like the one menu bar for all applications
