It's not booting this morning
Getting this screen

O
25.02.2017
04:22:27
Good morning to you too but you just show us the single user mode and you're able to "boot" your machine. just didn't see the X screen and without any extra information like "journalctl, dmesg" log we can't help
oh,
you have bad sector

Google

O
25.02.2017
04:22:38
looks like your hdd toast
If you see that "I/O" errors you can understand you're losing data(s) because of it and that cause unable to boot your system properly
get your backup
and move to new HDD

shankar
25.02.2017
04:24:08
Oh

O
25.02.2017
04:24:24

Nothing I can do

shankar
25.02.2017
04:25:01
So now I have to boot... Important data in there

O
25.02.2017
04:25:53
Well
you can use live usb/cd
and try to get what you can get
But do not your system with your actual HDD that will cause more problem

shankar
25.02.2017
04:26:54
This is the journalctl output

O
25.02.2017
04:27:44
Well that's just beginning of boot
nothing matter
I/O errors was your problem

shankar
25.02.2017
04:28:43
Can I fix it with gparted or fsck?

O
25.02.2017
04:29:48
If It's fully pyshical error there is nothing you can do but for make sure as I said "boot your system with usb"
and use "smartctl" for health check

Google

O
25.02.2017
04:29:56

good luck

shankar
25.02.2017

Hi! I have a question for the experts...
A guy insisted that CentOS never was Red Hat and if it is now is because RH bought it. I thought CentOS was RH for servers. Anyone with a better knowledge of this…?

Red Hat as a company has no problem with it, as anyone buying RHEL does so for the support anyway
that's how I understand it; note that I am in no way affiliated with any of those other than I've used CentOS a few times and I am user on some servers equipped with RHEL ;)
