It is disabled by default Tobias.
It's a fact that almost nobody uses Arch without AUR. Too many packages are there and it's damn too convenient to use it. So many fall for the trap and expose their systems to great danger.

There is a reason we have a validation process here in Fedora before someone can become a packager. Because some people on the internet are, in fact, evil.

Are you planning to use the spec standard or create yet another packaging format that people need to learn? If you choose spec, then your whole yaourt can be just this shell script:
rpmdev-setuptree
wget http://aur-for-fedora.org/spec/myfile.spec
sudo dnf builddep myfile.spec
spectool -gf myfile.spec
rpmbuild -ba myfile.spec
sudo dnf install ~/rpmbuild/RPMS/myfile.rpm

People won't withstand the FUR (@Wolfshappen must like that name btw haha), and it will become more and more the standard. Then, guides will recommend it.
At some point, even the wiki will recommend using it.
This is not a future I want to see with Fedora.

In any case, even if it has a successful build for Fedora 25 – is the owner trustworthy? Is he going to continue to support the application with updates? Is he going to react if a critical bug is found in that software? Is he going to respond to bug reports?
Because all this is guaranteed with officially packaged software that is in the Fedora repos.

"I get the following build error, can you help?"
– commented three years ago
"doesn't build"
– commented five years ago
No reply from the "maintainer". So you get disappointed and move on.

I have a weird bug in Nautilus that when I select multiple folders and I want to see their total size, so I click on "Properties", it starts counting but then the file count and size keep jumping back but never come to rest.
Can anybody try go to his home folder, select everything and then click Properties?

My hard disk is huge and Baobab takes its time because it analyzes every single folder. I just care about the total size of the files. Thanks for the suggestion though.

For that matter I could just use du -sh myfolder but the point is that the graphical way, using Nautilus, is broken.
Which is part of GNU coreutils.

This is something I can really applaud about GNOME 3: The screencast functionality. Just increase the recording time in dconf and it's a great tool for quick bug reporting.
