My bad.
In the past I used to play some only games that relied on javaws so openjdk solved it, bu later I learnt that icedtea-web handles it inside the browser.
Not sure if it work the same way on Opera. I have never used Opera.

not the IcedTea, just the Oracle pack...
Well, before knowing about openjdk and icedtea I used to use the package from oracle, if-not-true-then-false has a guide on how to install it and link the plugin so the Web browser que use it. But I'm no sure if it will work with Opera.

Or Korora
I think it was Korora?
A Fedora spin with non free stuff
Also please don't use Manjaro. Use Antergos.

antergos and manjaro are different things
antergos is basically an installer and manjaro is trying to be more of an user friendly arch
i used manjaro because i thought it wouldnt break. i was wrong, it did lol

I'm fully aware what both are and this is why I don't recommend it.
Use Antergos.
Seriously.

I see literally no reason to use it.
Antergos on the other hand is pure Arch with a few cool defaults set.

For a more barebones experience you can also try Arch anywhere
Or even install it CLI from Antergos.

Arch I mean

theyre almost essential

:ʒ

it enables you to easier install compiled software
normally you would do make install (i dont know if there are alternatives) which is messy and potentially dangerous, but with checkinstall and pkgbuilds you can install the compiled software as a package which means that you can control it better, such as easily uninstall it

I don't understand.
AUR is just another repository. Nothing more.
Like PPAs and Fedora Copr.
