Hi everyone, I was nominated for the Opensource.com People's Choice Award… I would appreciate if you would consider casting a vote for me (it only takes an email address). Thanks! https://opensource.com/article/17/1/2017-peoples-choice-awards

Tobias?

Do you try to over the Proxmox gui?

Because me thinks you need to manually add anyhing pci passtrough manually to vfio

Any big Business that wants someone to blame when their servers dont work

And are too cheap for RHEL

天荣
23.01.2017
11:36:58
I don't think a business who can't afford RHEL, could afford WS

By the way, I'd just love working in a company that has RHEL servers

Tobias?
23.01.2017
11:37:24
so we'd have to use Windows Server or Rhel+Windows Server functioning as Api slave

You don't need to be an Ambassador to help with testing, but of course take your time and do it when you want if you want.

I have the new MacBook Pro (with Touch Bar), though, which apparently is incompatible with Linux.

Running a live (if it's possible) and installation (both dual and single boot). If you already have Fedora installed in your laptop, it would be awesome to know what works and what doesn't.

If you mean 4 USB-C ports, yes. I hate USB-A. It's time to move forward.

I don't think that's possible for now. This machine can't boot Linux because of some issue with the SSD PCIe ID. As apparently Apple reimplements NVMe.

I'm sure some smart dude will eventually get around that.

I read about issues with the battery being inconsistent, one charge lasts 13 hours, others 7 and so.

what are the benefits of usb-c anyways? are they really worth it?

its true that we have to move forward at some point

problems with this should be solveable using usb-a to usb-c adapters

More power delivery, video, audio output, power delivery passthrough, direct PCIe access.

I think that's more than enough to switch.

You can also do without 4 cores, with PS/2 keyboard and mouse, VGA screen and 720 resolution.

Being able to use modern protocols and standards is still better.
