Hello, Does anyone knows the difference between nvidia packages provided by negativeo17 and rpmfusion repository?

negativo17 tries to follow the packaging standards in Fedora for some proprietary software, and I think he bundles things a little differently for the things that are also in RPMFusion.

I will say there was a time where negativo's Nvidia driver worked for me when the RPMFusion one didn't.

I prefer to use the Official Nvidia driver for Linux

I tried using that before, but it was a trainwreck for me and ended up with a kernel panic. I also like the convenience of not having to manually update and just running dnf upgrade.

you should never use binary installers on gnu/linux, on windows you depend on proprietary shit so you kinda have no other choice but on gnu/linux you either use your distro's packages or compile the software yourself. there should be a "how to gnu/linux" page that explains this or something

Love your package manager and it will love you.

lots of people make the mistake of installing stuff without their package manager (possibly due to all the bad guides online that are lazily made and teach you to just do things the easy and terrible way)

but this isnt how it should be done

I plain and simply refuse to use installers in any Linux distro.
