yeah, i heard AMD have better support for the Open Source driver compared to NVIDIA, but in other way, NVIDIA proprietary also faster compared to any AMD Open Source Drivers

Their Card speeds match up to quadro and Gtx series in all ways, equally strong in directx 11/12 and opengl. The only hardship is an rx480 placed against a titan or gtx 1080

@xvitaly someone on #fedora asked about this, someone suggested this step + plus removing nouveau, later he was not able to get access to a GUI. Is it required to remove nouveau after installing what you suggest?
