On GNOME 3.14 I can flip and rotate screens in the GNOME display settings. Can somebody please check whether that's still possible in GNOME 3.20/3.22?

If you have a monitor that you turned around 90°, you need to tell Xorg to render the content 90° rotated, too.
For example. Another example is when you're connecting to a projector that is upside-down because it's mounted to the ceiling. You need to flip the image in Xorg so that the image is right again.
In GNOME 3.14, this was possible in the monitor settings.

Thanks anyways. It could be a hardware issue (I'm running 3.22 in a VM, maybe VM displays don't support rotating). I'm just glad the option is still there because GNOME is famous for throwing away useful features. Monitor rotation is something many people need! But apparently, if it's still there for you, there's nothing to worry about.

if there was no interface to rotate the screen on GNOME 3.20
you can just run: xrandr —output <screen> —rotate <left, normal, inverted, right>

There's always a workaround, but the thing is that many people need this functionality and it would be much simpler and faster to have controls for that in the GNOME settings than having to memorize xrandr commands. Also, GNOME is the show-off desktop of Linux. Many newcomers will try GNOME as their first desktop on Linux. See the issue?

complete switch

you switch 2 and 3
and you have the desktops you work with closer

Whan I installed fedora three days ago, wifi didn't work. It had b43 module loaded, but without any effect. Top-level recipes in google told to install broadcom-wl and blacklist b43. I followed them and used wl driver for last two days, expriencing accidental connection drops
I simply downloaded proprietary broadcom firmware, unpacked it, and b43 driver started to work. Removed broadcom-wl package. I'll see how it will go.
I still didn't understand how do broadcom-wl and b43 correspond to each other. dnf info says that broadcom-wl is just a set of configs. wl and b43 modules must be different things then, I guess. But it somehow had a firmware...

Álvaro asked, that if you have some windows opened on workspace 1, and some on workspace 3, and you don't want to switch the workspace twice when going back/forth, whether you can move a whole workspace up or down (not just individual applications).
