I haven't started yet. I shall in January.
Yes, I know, but usually January isn't studying time. That's why I wondered if it was private.

No. Community College.
I don't know what is a community college... I feel so ignorant today. ?

Community colleges are more common in the US. I'm not sure if they exist elsewhere, but they're lower cost, local colleges.

It's December the twenty fourth, all I'm doing is installing Fedora 25 on other's laptops. Yay!

The notebook's WiFi I'm working on doesn't seem to be recognised by default. How can I narrow down its components in order to install the missing packages on Fedora?

I already have it connected to Internet by ethernet. All I want to do is a) Get to know what WiFi card it has and b) Install the missing packages to make it work.

@Kohane, @Tobias4X, @xvitaly - This tutorial solved the problem, for the record. http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43/#other_distros

We have a new problem, though. The resolution is stuck at 800x600 and there's no feasible way to change it, at least, using the UI alternative. Is there any terminal code to adjust the resolution of the screen at my will?

xrandr tells me 800 x 600 is the minimum, current and maximum value. TL;DR get wrecked.

No. It's been 800x600 since I first installed Fedora 25 on this very old netbook.

It seems like a problem with the graphic driver...

ita actually a problem with the Edid (or something) that your monitor sends on connection

the most viable ways are trying another cable or connector

Cable or connector? It's a netbook, not a PC.

there is no real fix as the monitor isnt easily fooled intonacvepting an fhd signal

Neither dnf install nor YUM installer seem to make it work. Apparently there's some dependencies missing or something like that. There must be a wiki or anything similar which can provide us with the neccessary files to install Chrome successfully on Fedora 25.
