Your next milestone of Bumblebee, will be version 4.0! Several people thought the project was dead, but that isn't true.
We will start around May 2016.

Hopefully a new version will be released not very long from now. Some major issues regarding to the interaction with the NVIDIA driver & bbswitch will be fixed.

I am dual-booting Windows 10 and Fedora 23. From my experiences till now,Windows 10 is a bit better and faster then older ones,but still has privacy issues,I mostly use it for Photoshop and After Effects and use Fedora as daily driver

We are a FLOSS community,but let me say it,Photoshop is miles ahead GIMP,in terms of compatibility ,performance and ease of usage,at least for me,so the mileage may vary
