I'm still downloading upgrade files for F25 using the DNF upgrade plugin, and i dont think it will finish anytime soon. Is it safe for me to abort the download progress and shutdown my system?
is it going to redownload everything again from the start the next time i run the command again?. I'm using my mobile data for upgrading and can't realy leave it here untill the upgrade finished.

I'd say it's safe to do so and data would remain cached, in /var/lib/dnf/system-update.
but it would be better to check with someone who understands dnf better :) maybe @ignatenkobrain :)

I use to keep my cache, from my laptop running fc22 for a year I got 10G at /var/cache/dnf...
You should try removing some packages too.

Remove some packages you have installed.
I released 5GB on /var/cache/dnf before upgrading with
dnf clean packages

i update it first time works perfectly then i accidentally delete linux kernel
then i finally put the linux kernel back on
then i try to update fedora
computer dies halfway through
so now i am working on finding a way to use hostnames in chroot

Today I tried to jump from fc22 to fc25 but found some blockers with python, I think I will make a fresh install on my laptop.
fc23>fc24>fc25 is to much for download.
I mean, evey upgrade, step by step, is going to be about 2.2 GB * 3...
I mean, I will have to download about 6.6 GB.
I prefer to make a fresh install.
Hahahaha I know.
