TBH, I don't know. I never used it because I thought it was kinda pointless. In Debian is different because "apt-get update" updates the repos and checks for whatever is new. And then "apt-get upgrade" actually checks for updates/upgrades and shows them. If there are any major upgrades, one has to type "apt-get dist-upgrade", otherwise some packages will be held.

Yeah. The Debian way is not as intuitive as dnf which is straight forward dnf-upgrade/update which does everything automatically for you.

There are fairly good reasons to separate update from upgrade or dist-upgrade in Debian.

Try a dnf search <package>, in Debian you just use the local cache database and get instant results, not so on dnf.

Yeah. If you want something to be sent in full quality, you have to send it as file. As picture, it's always reduced to save data and time.

No, official Fedora Firefox is built like the upstream Firefox.

It will only check if there are newer live resources available and you can enforce local cache usage even on hugely outdated caches with --cacheonly on all commands.
