if there's no ssh access, then it's not a vps service

these companies sell things that aren't exactly what they claim, however

@desci42 i've a url hosted at namecheap, ssh is avail but must be requested

my point was, if the service promotes itself as VPS, then it SHOULD provide a shell

however I do acknowledge that it would not be the case for many of the services promoting themselves as VPS

I won't verify that though, when I need a VPS, I just set a proper one in a proper VPS service

and then if domain names are needed, I register domain names elsewhere

in a proper domain name registar
