There was a 8th hour of using GNOME on Wayland session instead of Xorg.
Middle mouse button(primary buffer) working. Only sometimes there was problems with it.
Also, in difference between Xorg and Wayland, when CPU is busy (for example, compiling something), you can feel that. GNOME Shell begin slowing down. Unless you renice it to -9.

Gnome is pretty simple by design, I like it, but seems like gnome does not reach that stability in terms of everything is on the same place release after release or they remove the ability to customize stuff that were present in the las versions. I'm still missing the F3 function in nautilus that allowed you split Nautilus into 2 in the made the drag an drop more easy.
There tons of functions that depends on gnome extensions to make gnome a little bit usable, but guess what?
Release after release some extensions stop working on new versions.

I do not think GNOME is bad. I guess your *problems* is just conflicts with GNOME viewings of things.
For example, I do not need right after installation JUST CHANGE THAT THEME, FAST! I NEED TO CHANGE THE THEME! I NEED EXTENSIONS! NOW! I SAID NOW! I WANT DOCK! I WANT MY FONTS! I WANT TO CONFIGURE *EVERYTHING* NOW! JUST LET ME DO IT! SHIP GNOME-TWEAK-TOOL IN STANDARD INSTALLATION! I WANT TO CHANGE ALL KEYBOARD SETTINS, BECAUSE I WANT TO WORK IT MY WAY! THE STANDARD ICON THEME IS UGLY! CHANGE IT NOW! NOW APPS, I NEED CONFIGURE ALL OF THEM! I CAN NOT WORK UNTIL I CONFIGURE *EVERYTHING*!... And that sort of things...
What is *must have* in standard Workstation installation, I think, is gnome-terminal-nautilus. Everytime I need to install it myself, for that "Open Terminal" button. Which is very useful.

Every single persone have a list of *must have* list of things that may need on gnome. The problem is when this things are not built in gnome, or there's no way to enabled this *must have*

Exactly. And why should I change my way for the sake of Gnome development?
Anyway, I never used Windows. My first computer had Linux and I never left it.

Exactly. And why should I change my way for the sake of Gnome development?
I was "GNOMEified" when I was forced to use GNOME. It was when there was 3.16 just released. I preferred to use OpenSUSE, because KDE on it was the best. I used KDE4. But then KDE devs dropped last KDE4 release, and said - we will focus on KF5.
KDE4 was almost awesome. I almost get rid of GTK applications. Used kmail, korganiser... But there was bugs in those, which will never get fixed now. They was small, they can be workarounded, but annoying. And KDE5 was nothere state.
And so I decided to switch to something still supported. And that was GNOME. Because cinnamon was still in non-ready state, and I never was a fan of *light* Environments like XFCE. I just wanted to wait for KDE5.
But time has passed by. KDE5 still was in the middle of nothere, like it is now. And I understood some things.
Then I was on KDE4, I used to hide titlebars, use globalmenu, use that fancy kwin-expo(like that button in Unity dock, which is displaying workplaces), move panels to the side of the window(because on netbook you got less vertical space).
And GNOME does all this for me. Activities is like Expo. GNOME apps use CSD, to use titlebars as panels, saving vertical space. There is no menubars in GNOME too. They put panel on the top...
So I just get used to it. While KDE5 is still in the middle of nothere. And now I don't give a shit about KDE5, because GNOME is better. ?
Telegram Desktop has just updated to Bots 2.0

I have been using the plasma shell and I am living it. So to me, the choice of a DE is very subjective . . I love KDE over gnome, but I didn't like the default applications that come with either DE . . so I usually remove all the unnecessary packages and use only the default. If we say kmail sucks, evolution equally sucks. . .
So to me, I am loving KDE and I am going to stick to it.
