Mozilla had to make concessions so as to not lose marketshare to other browsers. Everything in IT that is not mainstream is deemed as a geeky toy, like Telegram. I'm not saying it's a good thing (it's not), but Firefox still is quite customizable, and that might be the only reason I still use it
