logs is for xorg

Tobias?
07.12.2017
01:38:29
That is journalctl, are you sure that is an xorg log?Because that just looks like an error for tracker miner fs reaching its file change watch limit
Have you tried changing at login to xorg with the gear icon?

Vafa

01:40:10
Actually I'm not sure. because I change it to xorg and on first try password was wrong and I enter the pass without double check that

How to logout??
find it
What I did:
- unplug the hdmi
- restart
- login using xorg
- plug the hdmi in
and you have the log

Tobias?

Can you try another cable, switching the cable direction or ideally another connector like displayport, vga, dvi?

Vafa
07.12.2017
01:52:04
No
And there is something to tell

Tobias?
07.12.2017
01:52:22
And are you sure you dont have a dedicated gpu in addition to the intel igpu?

Vafa

01:54:13
Im sure it's only one Intel gpu

Tobias?
07.12.2017
01:54:26
Displayport 1.3 started recommending hdmi to be allowed on displayport 1.3 connectors
vendors do not have to support it

I have to use this to convert the hdmi

Intel provides a fully working open source driver straight in the kernel. If that doesnt work on your device then all you can do is report your laptop and what you are doing (dp>hdmi) to redhat bugzilla.

Which is ages old - and definitely needs software hacks to get hdmi over displayport to work.

Software hack!?
Any resource that I can read to get it to work?

Tobias?

Or you could try a proper bridge for displayport to hdmi - you can plug these between dp out and hdmi cable and they dont just passtrough the connectors.

Look for "Active displyport to hdmi"

one more question. which one of this is the display port: ls /sys/class/drm

Actually I don't know what exactly happened
Just unplug the adapter and plugged in back
I did that before but only now works

Ya I'm still in xorg
I wish it don't bother me.
I didn't solved a big problem but even in this case, when we using Telegram, we don't leave anyone anythings in the future to let them read the conversation. Like in my case I don't see anyone having the same problem and I had it but latter on nobody can find-out about it.
I'm learning a lot by search not a forums because I find what I want from search. All my problem and question is already solved. with telegram we going to make less searchable content.

HexChat is an IRC client based on XChat, but unlike XChat it’s completely free for both Windows and Unix-like systems. Since XChat is open source, it’s perfectly legal. For more info, please read the Shareware background.
