Guys, do you know some Slackware chats?
I need to set intel idle cstate to maximum WITHOUT using a grub bootloader

notafile

speaking of bootloader
it's kind of annoying that fedora does not support hibernate out of the box
you need to manually add a kernel parameter

And in the end i'd much rather go i to suspension or shutdown fully - if you're not stuck on stoneage hdd's then cold booting will be faster and your pc can finally load kernel updates.
Using hibernation, especially all the time, is just bad practice.
Oh broadcom? did you install the propreitary driver?
And the only fix for broadcom wifi is "avoid when buying a pc"

suspend then

I still think enabling suspension would kill kaslr unless they can coexist now but i dont think so.
Which is why i'll never use it - not that i found any need for it.

Martín

Yes, I said it for open source
The most versatile cheap you can find is Raspberry Pi
There are also chinesse retro consoles
But these alternatives are only for retro games
With Raspberry Pi you can maybe play PlayStation 2 games, but using pirated ROMs, I don't think that there open PlayStation 2 games exist
On the other hand you can find second hand PlayStation 3 or XBOX 360 at roughly $50 searching a bit or searching eBay auctions

Mhm is there a good/known way to migrate from Photoshop Elements to a free alternative? Important would be to keep the meta data. It would take month to redo the tagging since we are talking about a few thousand picture with actual researches for the story behind.

There's this initiative from Red Hat, about women in Open Source.

gimp cannot kiss photoshop's boots
He didn't say Photoshop, he said Elements. It's basically a collection of filters and effects, like a simplified Photoshop. There are many similar programmes. At that level, I think a Gimp well equiped of scripts and plugins works nicely.
