Yeah, actually I couldn't find any important mistakes in his messages. I don't know how to fix your problem @Fiuuuu because when something goes wrong with an upgrade, usually I just make a fresh install. As I always keep the /home partition separated, I don't care much.

More like most of the ATM and car service shop. All those automotive diagnostics software are running on XP. The ford store I’ve working for last year using server 2000 for ordering and 2003 for servicing. Also XP for inventory.

I’m pretty sure you won’t need a computer to diagnose a Lada Niva which is my favourite car on earth ( seriously!)

I have a X5 and endless amount of issue with it. Totally money pit. I am hunting for a good condition Niva(2121) for several years. I rather drive a Lada that’s not that comfortable( sorta, still got heat and window) and not break down need a tow than driving a fancy over engineered Germany fancy machine and stranded in the middle of my trip.

Well, Mercedes Benz never failed me, not even once. But well, maybe different environments or needs. To each his own.

when you have a proprietary diagnostic software for 15-20 year old cars which you still support, then you can't upgrade as this will break this software and you won't be able to support those cars anymore ;)

seriously, I've seen enterprise software that ran in web browser, which needed to be an Internet Explorer, 32 bit only, ran as Administrator in Windows 7. Anything less, this thing flat out refused to open
