ohai

do you know what else should I do to install GNOME Extensions from Firefox Nightly (58.0a1) besides adding the chrome-gnome-shell "native messaiging" connector and appropriate FF plugin?

The website says: Although GNOME Shell integration extension is running, native host connector is not detected. Refer documentation for instructions about installing connector.

but the extensions API is the same in Firefox since 57

(with some Mozilla extensions, but it's still compatible with upstream W3C WebExtensions API)

i've posted a Copr repo earlier

also, if it comes to GNOME extension - they thought it would be a good idea to let users install extensions from browser directly, by a single click

i tried on chrome but they don't put the icon of site i found them put icon of chrome itself also web catalog doesn't consume ram as chrome did it ram consumption is very low plus icon of site it self and after installing apps you need ,, you can unistall webcatalog itself

open 5 tabs on a low ram machine, open something that consumes more ram than left (swap disabled) and watch chrome discard page contents and rerender them when you open those tabs

Oh and chromium based browsers keep most of their ram from the beginning marked as "swappable" so your os can handle it - you can see yourself in htop. And in the end all the chromium ate all my ram memes are nothing more than that - ram is there to be used and filling slow swap for something that is your lifeline to social life by now so you can feel better about a bullshit value is useless when you could just, you know, inform the os "i dont need this so take it to disk if you need this space"
