The basic idea of Matrix is nice... But from my perspective it's way to complicated... Have you checked out the protocol? IRC is open a TCP connection send 3 commands and you're in. And the worst they do is they try to bridge everything which breaks a lot of functionalities... Matrix users in Gitter.... Having a conversation with them is super ugly... Their IRC bridge puts so much load on servers because they allow guests to connect and never disconnect them again and last but not least it's unneeded complicated to setup their servers... All in all I don't think Matrix should replace IRC.

Not to mention it's buggy as heck

Last I tried Matrix with Riot every user who has ever connected was listed at all times

They don't have an expire for their users. At least not last time I read about this problem a few month ago.

I actually deleted my Matrix account a long while ago (start of this year I think) and it's still connected to Freenode

You can aslo edit the first entry in the grub bootloader by pressing e and try booting without quiet splash as told by(i dnt know how to read his name) and adding a nomodeset .

Cant be fully adressed by each cpu tough and since its not infinity-fabric powered EPYC cross-bank access will suffer.

Also if you want to go into that segment, just get servers with enough interconnects and clustering software and you can put much more computational power in much less money.

Just screw 20 rx480's together for that price of one quadro and get network-coordinated rendering in blender or swarm-based rendering fur unreal engine
