not to debian systems
There used to be a .deb package for Debian. Use plain dd if you want to have UEFI boot support.

hello guys
Guys, with Kernel 4.12 I've an issue on the start user session. Do you have the same issue?
Now I'm typing from 4.11
however, for now: https://fedoramagazine.org/boot-earlier-kernel/

4.12.5-300.fc26.x86_64 All good on Wayland and NVIDIA 384.59?
My laptop has an ION graphics card and in theory would support switching between this and the Intel card. however under nouveau there is only the Intel card and no way to turn off the nvidia card and using the proprietary driver I get terrible screen tearing and can't use the Intel card at all. This is with Mate desktop and X11 still, but I was wondering if the better Wayland support will also show with legacy drivers. Do you know if 340.x.y is compatible with the dual graphics support of Wayland?

And honestly I prefer nouveau for optimus
"but performance!!!" Well yeah it's either that or Bumblebee, which nukes performance as much
And bumblebee is a giant hack with broken power saving backend unless you switch PCI power management to pre kernel 4.8 mode

I just wish Nvidia got the sticks out of their behinds and contributed to nouveau properly, and not just the Tegra part because that's what they can make money with

Michał

And honestly I prefer nouveau for optimus
when I was using nVidia (altrought an ancient one) I honestly preferred nouveau over original nvidia driver for a office-style work, and that was ~4 years ago and I doubt nouveau is worse now than it was then

Just not for performance gaming
And I really admire the work they have been able to do even more so because Nvidia almost doesn't contribute
I just wish there were more Radeon cards for laptops, that'd be the best experience

Just not for performance gaming
I think the workarounds and optimizations in drivers for gaming are the exact secret sauce nvidia is not going to release as open source

But OTOH their OpenGL drivers must be really solid
Even a hybrid solution like AMDGPU PRO would be awesome
Open source the kernel driver but keep OpenGL and Vulkan drivers closed
Oh well, I'll just keep dreaming

Look at the pain Dolphin had with ubershaders - Intel and amd provide free tools to decompile generated shaders and dolphin found and reported some issues under vulkan, opengl and directx to make them work faster.
Nvidia - fat chance, the tools to do so only go to game studios after signing the NDA.

AFAICR, no, it doesn't work, because it's a front-end to APT and Fedora/RH do not use APT, they use RPM instead
When I worked at RH I looked for a replacement for Synaptic but I could not find anything that didn't suck.

YUM Extender (DNF) is not terrible....just saying

Liam

I am getting a little more used to it, but I still don't like YUM/DNF as much. I switched from SUSE to Ubuntu in 2004 and I have got very used to APT-GET in that time.
There are more steps and confirmations with APT. DNF tends to just do what it thinks best, and sometimes, I'd prefer if my update or whatever stopped and asked me. E.g. if it wants to download 200MB of updates over a mobile/3G connection which would cost me more than the laptop itself
